What we are looking for

State Street Alpha seeks to harmonizes data, technology and services across the end-to-end investment management life cycle for consistent workflows and holistic views of the investment process. This role is in the Alpha Platform Management (Strategy) team which provides leadership, management and drives the execution of various initiatives.

We are looking for an individual who can provide leadership, end-to-end project management, advocacy and oversight of the various Alpha sub-streams. This includes planning, overseeing and coaching team leads for implementation and execution of project level deliverables as well as producing executive level reporting to enable the achievement of integration goals.

This position is located in Boston, MA and is hybrid requiring 2+ days a week in the Boston office

What you are responsible for

• Provide leadership, project management and drive for the execution of initiatives within the overall Alpha Platform workstreams
• Drive execution through stringent project management and close attention to detail of sub-streams in the overall Alpha workstream
• Drive planning, project management and execution for roadmaps and product releases
• Solution impediments with stakeholders, drive project progress, escalate risks, issues and solutions
• Implement project changes and interventions to achieve program goals
• Perform internal communications using multiple communication channels on the product areas and features owned
• Coach team leads to manage agile ceremonies and help facilitate story development, story point estimations, definition of done discussions
• Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure Alpha engineering practices are followed as defined by the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to help deliver high quality results

Education and Preferred Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a project/program manager
• PMP Certification and/or consulting experience a plus

Skills

• Proven leadership and program management skills
• Proven strong communication, interpersonal, decision-making, analytical/problem solving and negotiation skills
• Ability to influence and work collaboratively across multiple organizations to reach common goals
• Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with product and engineering teams in a large scale cloud-native / SaaS environment
• Experience with Jira, Confluence or other issue tracking/collaboration tools
• Team player and collaborator
