Full-time, professor of practice Assistant Professor, Master of Science in Project Management, will provide outstanding teaching, scholarly research, and service to the university and external communities.

The primary professional responsibilities of the Assistant Professor, Master of Science in Project Management, is to provide outstanding teaching, scholarly research, and service to the Lewis and external communities. Organizes prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials.

Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
-Teach primarily graduate level courses in traditional, blended, and online modalities, with some undergraduate level courses.
- Twenty four (24) hour teaching load per contract year.
-Establish and maintain office hours to assist students and foster positive interaction with colleagues and external parties.
-Actively participate in College/University Committees, scholarly pursuits, student recruitment, and other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.
-Provide knowledge of and participation in curriculum development and program assessment.
-Organizes prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials.
-Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.

Requirements

-Earned Doctorate in project management or within a closely related business discipline of project management, from a regionally accredited College/School of Business. Strong candidates who are ABD and nearing completion of their dissertation will be considered.
-Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
- Proof of being current in the field of instruction, whether through continuous education, scholarship contributions, and/or practical, high-level field experience.

-Demonstrated business acumen and understanding the macro and micro influences across an organization and industry.
-The candidate is experienced in predictive, agile, or design thinking and new practices being developed.
-Ability to establish productive and collaborative working relationships with other faculty and staff.
-Commitment to diversity and inclusivity through demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
-Candidates must be proficient in using technology for instructional delivery, such as learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard Ultra, D2L, Canvas ), or otherwise have a high comfort level with learning and utilizing new technology and be self-sufficient for problem-solving minor technical issues.

-Experience managing multiple projects and driving them to successful completion.
-Demonstrate professional experiences, research, and best practices at seminars, conferences, career fairs, etc. within the global management field.
-Additional Project Management Professional certifications (DASMCSMACP) beyond the PMP level are preferred.
- Previous experience teaching Project Management at a college or university level is preferred.
-A record of published research in peer-reviewed journals
