General Description of the Job

The role of the Business Development Associate is to support the sales process in various capacities by prospecting new project opportunities, assisting in the development of sales close plans and working closely with the sales and engineering teams to advance relationships with Owners, Engineers, Architects and Contractors. The Business Development Associate will research new project information, maintain the accuracy of the customer database, and work independently with contractors to secure important project information, including scope, drawings and project timeline in order to assure quote processing is on schedule. Must be able to communicate effectively among sales, engineering and operations to assure timely processing and to facilitate process improvements.

 

Qualifications

  • 3- 5 years inside sales experience, strong preference for commercial construction industry
  • Organized, systematic, and disciplined
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM ) systems a plus
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

 

Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Research active projects in the pipeline
  • Develop project and customer information in the enterprise software system
  • Facilitate and guide sales close plan process with team
  • Prepare training certificates for lunch and learns supporting continuing education credits
  • Contribute to process management and improvement within department
  • Assist Project Managers during project turnover process
  • Track progress of code compliance training within regions
  • Complete product and process training programs within the organization
