About the Responsibilities

As a Centralized Planning Supervisor, you would provide effective supervision and leadership to employees within the planning group of the Maintenance Control Department. This position supervises a centralized group of employees planning and scheduling the necessary resources of manpower, equipment, tools, materials and contractors needed to support the maintenance of all pumping plants, aqueducts and facilities throughout the Central Arizona Project.
 

 

Some of the responsibilities include:

 

  • Supervises Senior Maintenance Planners in developing procurement specifications, interpreting technical documents, and developing schedules and cost estimates. Directs recommendations to Maintenance Engineering group for replacement parts for all plant equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical and civil operations.  Uses leading and lagging indicators to monitor the performance of Maintenance Planners work and adherence to our maintenance planning and scheduling processes.

 

  • Oversees "Requests for Planning" RPL and adherence to current CAP Maintenance Excellence scoping, plans and scheduling, in the Business Plan to ensure optimum plant personnel, and equipment availability. In addition, advises planners and evaluates their recommendations for outside contractor needs. Ensures that work loading practices are followed for diversified maintenance group and monitors planner backlog.

 

  • Supervises Sr. Schedulers in their collaboration with Project Management and Water Control on our Maintenance and Capital Operational Impacts (MCOI) process.  Ensures that all known medium and long range work items are included in the reports and meetings as required to mitigate future coordination issues on our largest and most operationally impactful work. 

 

Requirements

About the Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Project Management, or Engineering (or closely related field); OR a high school diploma / GED plus equivalent work experience, which must include a minimum of five (5) additional years of relevant work planning or project management experience.

 

  • At least seven (7) years of managing complex projects in an industrial work environment OR substantially equivalent experience coordinating and directing the work of skilled craft journey-level employees in a similar industrial work environment.

 

  • Two (2) years of progressive supervisory or leadership experience within the industry.

 

  • Strong working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.

 

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and MS Project.

 

  • Ability to provide effective leadership to a team of diverse personalities.

 

Certifications or Licenses preferred:

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
  • Certified Reliability Leader (CRL)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • A valid AZ driver's license and maintain a good driving record

Note: The salary range listed ($115,190 - $142,272 per year) reflects the target hiring range only and does not represent the full employee pay range for this position.
