The Office of Information Technology has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Change Manager Practitioner position.

If the answer to these questions is a resounding yes, then being an Organizational Change Manager (OCM) Practitioner on the Delivery Excellence team may be the place for you!

Our work helps our partners understand the best possible outcomes and solutions. Here are some examples of what an OCM at Anschutz Medical Campus does:

  • Ensure that projects meet objectives by increasing adoption and usage of new/improved technology tools, business processes, and organizational structures
  • Work closely with departmental and campus leadership, governance structures, and system-wide stakeholders to understand the environment and needs associated with change plans
  • Actively plan and implement plans for formalized change management initiatives. Create actionable deliverables for communications, training, sponsorship, and resistance/stakeholder management
  • Consult and coach project teams on planned changes, and how to manage those changes
  • Engage and support senior leaders in their role as sponsors of change by increasing leadership buy-in through information findings and change management knowledge
  • Define and measure success metrics for report to the changing organization, as well as into IT Governance for review and lessons learned
  • Build and maintain relationships with OCM peers across the university system contributing to the betterment of the overall OCM practice

We are looking for someone with:

  • with strong analytical skills and exceptional time management capabilities
  • with strong skills in translating technical issues and matters to non-technical audiences

Conditions of Employment:

This position may require some occasional weekend and evening assignments as well as occasional availability during off-hours for participation in both scheduled and unscheduled activities.

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule of on-site work and working locally remote. AMC OIT strives for a high-flex work environment, meaning although this role can predominately be executed effectively with a remote schedule, there may be instances where in-person meetings and/or activities are needed. There is no minimum or prescribed in-person requirement. The work schedule will be based around core working hours in Colorado Mountain Time.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $65,000 - $85,000.

Qualifications

 

We also have a few Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree business, management information systems, or closely related field.
    • Substitution: Work experience in the occupational field or specialized subject area of the work assigned to the job may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the degree.
  • 1 year experience in change management
  • 1-2 years’ experience of project management experience – exposure and practical working experience on projects using the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
