The Change Manager helps the Enterprise Technology Department and its partners realize their visions of change quickly and effectively, leading staff members and other stakeholders to adopt new mindsets and behaviors. The Change Manager will implement and continuously improve organization change management processes, standards, and templates for Enterprise Technology, and provide expertise on change management to its partners. The Change Manager will help Enterprise Technology and its partners realize their change initiatives’ goals and value through establishing change networks and coordinating stakeholder communications, training, and readiness tasks.

 

Responsibilities

  • Help create processes, standards, and templates for organization change management

  • Help build the County’s ability to drive change by training leadership and staff on best practices for organization change management

  • Help assess the County’s readiness to adopt various ideas for improvement, helping to represent the perspectives of various stakeholders throughout the organization

  • Determining and analyzing affected stakeholders and appropriate change structure and governance approach

  • Analyzing change impacts and creating change plans

  • Establishing change network and stakeholder groups and coordinating activities

  • Helping stakeholders adopt new behaviors and mindset through communications, training, and readiness tasks

  • Tracking and reporting stakeholder readiness, adoption, and proficiency, as well as project value realization

  • Creating documentation, managing knowledge transfer and helping transition from project to service and support

  • Help ensure standardization/consistency in practices (use of best practices and templates)

  • Help ensure effective communication

  • Track stakeholders’ overall acceptance of change and capacity to adopt more

  • Conduct research and analysis as needed to support Enterprise Technology goals and functions

  • Prepare and deliver written and oral reports and presentations

Requirements

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts

  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how changes in processes and technology may affect stakeholders

  • Strong customer-service orientation

  • Organization change management and project management skills

  • Highly self-motivated and directed with ability to work independently and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

     

    Required Experience

    Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience) in psychology, business, technology, or a related discipline. Experience in organization change management and project management (preferred).

     

    Any offer of employment is conditioned on the successful completion of a background screening, drug and alcohol testing and may include a pre-employment medical exam.
