This position is based in Bethesda, MD.
 
Position Description:
The Cybersecurity Project Manager (Cyber PM) will support the security mission, coordinating operational and project support for known and identified vulnerabilities, including security remediation of hardware, software, website, and applications. The Cyber PM responsibilities involve serving as the organizational liaison between the Cyber TRIBE and the ISSO team, facilitating implementation and oversight of security initiatives, and working with the CISO in identifying prioritization of tasks and projects.
The following are some examples of the type of work performed by this team:
- Remediation of all vulnerabilities in accordance to the established remediation timeframes.
- Implementation and maintenance of log ingest requirements (utilizing Splunk and/or other log management tools).
- Systems Verification/Validation Information for Security Waivers
- Identifying solutions for Special Purpose Equipment (SPE) - to bring them into compliance and/or isolating them off the network with appropriate controls.
- Manage and implement security projects such as Network Access Control, and Security Agent Implementation.
- Identify new initiatives, maintain Cybersecurity project backlog, and prioritize work with the assistance of the ISSO and CISO.
- Coordinate NIH Cyber-related data calls and reporting, including management of the Annual IT Security Awareness and Role-based training, annual (PIV exemption/AA) multi-factor exemptions review and annual elevated permissions validations.
- Implement Cybersecurity Program Maturity Roadmap (Critical Assets and Zero Trust Architecture).

Responsibilities:
- Set direction and establish plans for the team’s cybersecurity resources and operations.

- Use Agile methodology to plan and prioritize work.
- Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Track work in Atlassian Jira, creating backlogs, limiting work in process.
- Rolling up tactical work into strategic release plans, forecasting program increments for the government calendar year.
- Communicate in a 360 to the ISSO and other members of federal leadership, various teams in the CIO organization, and internally to Enterprise Operations managers and staff.
- Facilitate meetings, create agendas, take notes, disseminate information via email, and store project artifacts in SharePoint.
- Provide technical management and coordination among all parties working in integrated project teams.

Requirements

Requirements:
- Fifteen years’ experience that provides required knowledge and skills for project management.

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in related engineering, business, information management, computer science, physical science, professional or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Desired Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience using Kanban or Agile task tracking tools such as Atlassian Jira is a plus.

- Expertise in communicating with customers.

One or more certifications preferred:
- ITIL Foundation, Certified Scrum Master, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Sec+, SSCP, or CISSP, PMP
