JOB SUMMARY:
Member of Marketing and Communications Leadership Team (MCLT), helps lead planning processes across all major aspects of MarCom work, including those that support MarCom's organizational/ strategic direction; MarCom-generated communications/marketing & content-related project management work; Works closely with VP-MarCom & other SR leaders to ensure consistency of MarCom processes/elevate quality & relevance of work produced by MC/partners.
JOB DUTIES:
Leadership: Serves a leadership role in planning/organization/management of strategic enterprise-wide projects produced by Marketing and Communications. Works closely with VP/AVPs/others to assist in creating integrated communications/marketing plans & managing complex projects that reflect ClemsonForward priorities & reinforce Clemson's core brand messaging. Serves as liaison across various parts of MarCom organization on behalf of the VP. Member of MCLT. (30%)
Team Management: Serves as lead of the team that operates as the primary project gate- keepers for all of MarCom's existing/incoming requests to ensure that campus partners have a clear contact to discuss project requests/statuses. Assigns priority to requests based upon standards/planning previously agreed upon. Protects the entire MarCom team from spending time trying to funnel requests/determine priorities. Supervises 3 direct reports. (30%)
Project Management: Serves as primary gatekeeper of most visible and highest-impact projects, as determined by VP and AVPs. Leads weekly content planning session, bringing together representatives from within all MarCom teams to ensure the coordination and resources necessary for success. Keeps VP and AVPs apprised of project load and progress. Works to ensure buy-in, consistency and efficiency on high-impact projects. (20%)
Organizational planning: Works with VP to ensure that MarCom's structures and working relationships create a collaborative, efficient, mission-driven organization that delivers high-quality results in alignment with the University's strategic plan and which represent the best of Clemson's values and brand promise. Works with VP and AVPs to keep MarCom's strategic plan current and helps track progress against key metrics. (20%)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience: 5+ years and PMP Certification

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Expected salary range: $ 77,513.00 - $ 103,000.00
