This role will partner with Discover\u0027s Personal Loans and Home Equity business leaders to ensure early self-identification of issues and provide necessary advice for remediation.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe Director will be responsible for operationalizing regulatory and legal requirements, reviewing business unit procedures and training for compliance matters, and providing a consultant-based approach to effective challenge related regulatory and business process changes. Excellent people management skills are necessary to retain \u0026 engage a talented team to mitigate risk across the areas of a high regulatory focus.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EResponsibilities: \u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPartner with the Risk, Field Operations, and Legal leaders to ensure early self-identification of issues and provide advice in remediation and in building the control environment\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ELead a team of compliance advisors to provide guidance and related services to the business to ensure compliance coverage across all consumer facing regulations applicable to DFS, with a focus on consumer lending\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProvide support, coaching, and counsel to the team by authoring and assigning goals, conducting periodic coaching and feedback reviews, and annual performance evaluations\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EIdentify compliance risks resulting from new or revised laws and regulations, internal business strategies, initiatives, and projects to ensure action plans are developed.
