The successful candidate will have the analytical abilities to translate business objectives into analytical frameworks and to solve them by optimally balancing different metrics. \u003C/p\u003E Responsibilities \u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EManage the existing Student Loans Originations credit policy as well as set the agent and roadmap for future underwriting strategy related to new customer acquisitions.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EManage the credit underwriting channels across key underwriting channels such as digital, mail and partner strategy. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ESupport the product management team to develop new products. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EEvaluate new data sources and new techniques to develop credit strategies with an open mind and educate the team to leverage new techniques in underwriting, acquisition loss forecasting and loan assignment.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EKeep well informed on industry trends and competition with an eye for looking to continuously improve the business\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECoach and develop team reporting to the position (communications, business, technical, etc as needed)\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDevelop MIS to monitor and Application and Portfolio Trends, adjusting policy and strategies wherever necessary\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECommunicate effectively with peers and senior management about credit performance and profitability; ensure the business is within the companys risk appetite\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EManages relationships with internal business partners and external vendors\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E Minimum Qualifications \u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAt a minimum, here\u0027s what we need from you:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EBachelor\u0027s Degree in Mathematics, Science, Business, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E8\u002B years of experience in Analytics, Consulting, Financial Services, or related field\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E Preferred Qualifications \u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EIf we had our say, we\u0027d also look for:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E10\u002B years of experience in Analytics, Consulting, Financial Services, or related field\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E #LI-ML2 \u003C/p\u003E \u003Cp\u003E The same way we treat our employees is how we treat all applicants - with respect.
