Summary of Position:

This position provides cross-functional support to all areas of the organization by recommending appropriate actions, strategies and/or alternatives to meet business needs. This position is a strategic partner with the executive team that will guide and facilitate projects to achieve The Assistance Fund’s (TAF) overall vision and business objectives. The Director of Business Initiatives has responsibility for leading and managing all aspects of key strategic and technology development projects including planning, coordination, development, and implementation while prioritizing work, resources and time. 

Responsibilities:

The Director of Business Initiatives responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to understand business needs and pain points; conduct competitive research and have an informed view of industry insights to develop project strategy and bring overall vision to light.
  • Manage project life cycle including creation, design, development, integration, execution, testing, and completion of implementation projects and on-going projects.
  • Working with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve the technology needs that will advance business performance.
  • Manage team members to further strengthen these cross functional relationships and to share ownership and accountability for the business results of technology and operations related projects.
  • Manages individuals and team by defining clear roles and effectively assigning responsibilities in order to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Defining business solution projects and associated tasks in accordance with strategic priorities.
  • Establishing and maintaining change management processes and tools.
  • Teaming with internal and external IT resources to evaluate, select and implement technology solutions.
  • Tracking and monitoring goals, priorities, responsible parties, and delivery dates; providing regular written and in-person communications with the leadership team.
  • Ensuring system and process improvements are successfully implemented.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership
  • Manage project scope and changes
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Produce ad-hoc reports and/or presentations as needed
  • Promoting respect, communication and teamwork within the organization.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in hands-on business process/project management role
  • Experience providing oversight of large complex projects
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve both independently and collaboratively
  • Must demonstrate a professional, engaged, curious and consultative nature and good judgment
  • Must be a self-starter with high attention to detail, able to work on assigned tasks independently and comfortable with identifying and initiating discussions about opportunities for process improvement

  • Specialty Pharmacy
  • Salesforce beneficial
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce 

Benefits: TAF offers a comprehensive employee benefits program, including:

401(k) retirement account – You will be eligible to participate in the TAF 401(k) plan after completion of your ninety (90) day probationary period. TAF provides a 100% match of employee contributions to the 401(k) plan up to 6%.

Health, dental, vision and life insurance – You will be eligible to participate in these TAF benefits on the first day of the month following completion of your sixty (60) day waiting period. TAF offers three health insurance plans to choose from. The first two plan levels are fully paid by TAF. Health insurance for employee plus spouse, child(ren) or family are provided in accordance with the summary of plan benefits. Likewise, dental, vision, life insurance and other benefits are provided in accordance with the summary of plan benefits.
