Position Overview:

The Director of Training Services is responsible for managing the training operations at Aquinas which includes supervising, planning, employee training, and the management and forecasting of all production workload. The Director is responsible for ensuring and improving performance, productivity, efficiencies, and profitability utilizing experience and effective methods and strategies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and Oversee Excellent Aquinas Deliverables
  • Manage project needs/deliverables from initiation to closure by delegating project tasks to account directors, project managers, assistant project managers, and contractors based on skill set, experience level, and client demands
  • Leverage industry knowledge and experience to assist with the creation of best-in-class training programs that meet client needs:
    • live/face-to-face workshops for national sales meetings and/or sales training meetings, eLearning storyboards for electronic modules
    • scripts and/or storyboards for learning videos and/or animated learning segments educational games etc.
    • print-based materials to convey scientific, compliance, and sales training information
  • Partner with CEO in assisting with the forecasting and tasks needed to complete a project
  • Resolve issues and solve problems throughout the life cycle of a project 

 

  1. Manage and Oversee Aquinas Production Teams
  • Monitor, manage, and improve communication among all team members and stakeholders
  • Train and mentor production team members on professional business skills
  • Participate in post project analysis measuring results and evaluating client satisfaction and growth opportunities
    • Provide feedback to team members with post project information
  • Assist project teams if/when needed to ensure client satisfaction
  • Improve the production process(es) and procedures as needed
  • Lead team meetings, as needed
  • Participate in management development meetings with Chief Executive Officer

 

  1. Administration
  • Provide weekly reports/briefings to supervisor and upper management for all active projects in production
  • Evaluate and recommend process changes to ensure process is both effective and efficient in meeting client and business needs
  • Complete all administrative tasks including systems training and entry
  • Run reports and provide forecasting using Aquinas’ project management system
  • Attend Executive Team meetings and work collaboratively with internal departments
  • Attend Sales Administrative meetings
  • Complete at least four (4) hours of off-site, live continuing education annually
  • Participate in company events
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Provide excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Travel up to 10-20% of the time (overnight trips)

 

General qualifications: 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS- Highly skilled in writing, editing, and delivering oral and written information to accommodate many types of audiences

PROJECT MANAGEMENT – Prefer at least 2 years of experience managing client projects which includes coordinating tasks, setting milestones, prioritizing objectives, and exceeding client expectations on deliverables- not required of recent graduates

RESOURCEFULNESS - Able to analyze and creatively problem-solve to work through project issues with a sense of teamwork and urgency

 

Education & Experience

Required Bachelor's degree; preferably in English, Mass Communication, Public Relations or Nursing/Medical

Prefer at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role with a specific focus in training, communications, or advertising/marketing for the pharmaceutical, medical products, or life sciences industries

Agency experience strongly preferred
