This is a new role at AT&T that has the opportunity to impact the companys success for years to come; and is therefore an exciting opportunity for an innovative and dynamic Product Marketing leader to work with an amazing group of people.


Product Marketing Management is responsible for determining if we have viable products that AT&T could commercialize; and this team must have the skills and wherewithal to communicate whether a product has a market or does not. The Director PMM will conduct the insights gathering to understand and communicate customer needs/pains-points, conduct qualitative and quantitative research to test/support/refute hypothesis, leverage marketplace/customer insights to improve the product in development, uncover/verify the purchase decision process, develop personas, create messaging, and partner with other functional teams across the company to determine pricing as well as where in the portfolio the product is most likely to succeed. The Director will also identify potential alternative business models (in partnership with the AVP PMM and other functions) and go-to-market strategies by which the product could be brought to market. Project work will initially be scoped from network adjacencies work already underway between Corporate Strategy and Product Dev teams but may come from a myriad of other sources in the future.


The Director of Product Marketing Management will be responsible for 2-3 high-profile projects/initiatives at any one time and will partner closely with strategy, finance, product development, pricing, sales, design, content, brand, research, and other critical partners to bring new products to market. And the PMM Directors will be embedded/co-located with (as much as is feasible) their Product Dev and Prod Mgmt. counterparts. The Director will have significant experience in commercial and consumer customer lifecycles to be able to shape product interest, evaluation, purchase, growth, etc. The Director will also have several years of experience working as part of a new product development or product innovation team. Key activities the Director will participate in include leadership discussion/debate, product evaluation, customer requirements & feedback, positioning & messaging development, marketing materials development, product launch/campaign support (when needed), sales enablement, and deep collaboration with a long list of other functional teams.


This role requires a hands-on, highly technical marketing professional who has significant strategy experience, has expert-level marketing chops, deep product development & customer lifecycle experience, is hyper-collaborative, is metrics-driven, has a bar for high-quality, can manage their own project needs/deliverables, and has the ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment.


**Director, Product Marketing Mgmt. experience:**


+ You have experience ensuring the marketability of new products being concepted and developed as part of the product development process

+ You know how to evaluate and align the level of effort (investment required) with level of leverage to drive business growth

+ Youve designed and led pilot, proof of concept and all manner or product/service/solution testing

+ You can uncover insights from customers and users and help product teams leverage those insights to make the product better and create customer-facing (including stakeholders who influence the buying decision) messages that hit functionally and emotionally.

+ You have enterprise marketing chops. You are familiar with the complex buying needs of Enterprise customers (and influencers), including understanding organizational layout and role-based messaging

+ You have deep empathy for users, influencers and buyers and are able to adapt how you communicate to reach and engage your audience regardless of medium

+ You excel at verbal and written communication, knowing how to repurpose marketing material into different mediums while ensuring consistency in value proposition & messaging

+ You have deep expertise organizing, facilitating, and maintaining market, customer, competitor, and segment research (qual & quant), determining price elasticity, developing messaging, and testing it, validating/refuting value proposition hypothesis, etc.

+ You have experience integrating go-to-market execution plans into existing roadmaps and launching products into novel channels

+ You have experience working with all manner of internal and external marketing, sales, product dev and research teams

+ You are highly organized and have a project management track record as it relates to new technology product development

+ You have experience ensuring coordination/orchestration across large organizations (at all levels and across varied functions)

+ You have a working knowledge of advanced network technologies or have the ability to get up-to-speed quickly


**Nice-to-haves:**


+ Experience in network, advanced networking technologies/capabilities, Cloud, edge computing


**Requirements:**


+ Experience working with commercial B2B (BtoC a plus) SaaS applications

+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in a product marketing role - preferably in high-tech

+ 7+ years fostering product innovation inside of or for large enterprises

+ Experience in launching new high-tech products and communicating their benefits

+ Demonstrated history of managing complex projects and executing on marketing plans

+ Experience in conducting market analysis, developing market messaging, and communicating benefits

+ BS/BA required or equivalent experience; MBA or equivalent is preferred
