Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) and its contract management companies employ 16,000 people across Ontario. OLG is responsible for 25 gaming sites, the sale of lottery products at approximately 9,600 retail locations, the PlayOLG Internet gaming website, the delivery of electronic gaming products at 31 Charitable Gaming Centres across the province and the integration of horse racing into the provincial gaming strategy. Classified as an Operational Enterprise Agency of the Province of Ontario, OLG is intended to provide gaming entertainment in an efficient and socially responsible manner that maximizes economic benefits for the people of Ontario, related economic sectors and host communities.

OLG has defined a modernization plan with a new mission and vision, strategic direction, guiding principles and operating model. As modernization continues over the next few years, OLG will realize its vision to develop world-class gaming entertainment for Ontario in a way that benefits the province, its communities and its people while leading North America in responsible gambling.

Reporting to the Vice President, Portfolio and Project Services and Change Management, the Director, Program Management is responsible for administering, tracking and reporting to the a portfolio of high profile, strategic, digital initiatives with the goal of ensuring that Board-approved portfolio commitments are delivered as committed. You will provide strategic direction to enable effective portfolio administration and support executive sponsors in delivering enterprise strategy.

The Director will lead the planning, structuring and delivery of the programs and work-plans. The Director develops and maintains an integrated plan and tracks and reports on the portfolio deliverables including status, risks, benefits and required actions. The Director is responsible for resource estimation, allocation and portfolio analysis to develop optimal delivery scenarios including the identification trends, risks and mitigation. Balancing conflicting priorities within their portfolio of initiatives and other interdependencies and/or constrained resources will be key in achieving enterprise vision as will building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including service providers, senior leadership, the regulator, vendors and internal functional teams. The Director will provide leadership that encourages the professional growth of team members through mentorship, talent management and skill development to ensure individual career goals and department objectives.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in transformation, planning and business development and experience conceptualizing and delivering large cross functional projects and programs across business units. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the implementation of complex programs with large Digital, IT integration/build components, impacting a large organization. Strong business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to understand interdependencies and impacts on business and project activity is required. A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science and Certified Portfolio Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
