Convergint is looking for a full-time, team-oriented, results-driven Electrical Installer 1 to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will, under general supervision, install fire-alarm systems from engineered documentation. What you\u0026rsquo;ll do with \u0026ldquo;Our Training and Your Experience\u0026rdquo;

• Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for installing fire-alarm conduit, boxes, cabling, and devices on assigned Fire Alarm projects. Also delivers assigned tasks effectively and within budgeted cost and time schedules, with guidance as needed.
• Refers more complex issues to more experienced colleagues.
• Interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
• Provides basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.
• Takes ownership of onsite project including safety, quality, and performance. Observes and practices Convergint Quality Standards.
• Makes suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality.
• The Electrical Installer 1 position will be responsible for learning and performing tasks of an Electrical Installer 2 to progress through the trade program.
• The Electrical Installer 1 position will be responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You\u0026rsquo;ll Need

• Basic construction skills and understanding of system plans.
• Basic ability to read and understand blueprints, design drawings (including wiring and labeling methods), system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
• Sufficient familiarity with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications to be able to determine installation procedures unassisted.\u0026nbsp; May require assistance with more complex specifications.
• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper, and conduit bender).
• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma (Required)

Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician) preferred

Minimum Experience: Basic construction experience including some level of electrical or a low voltage background.\u0026nbsp;
