- Install, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, access control, analog \u0026 IP camera\u0027s, fire alarm \u0026 life safety, and/or building automation with minimal guidance as needed in a construction environment.
- Work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support and training. May assist or train less experienced Electrical Installers.\u0026nbsp; Refers more complex issues to more experienced colleagues.
- Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
- Provide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.
- Act as \u0026ldquo;our customer\u0026rsquo;s best service provider\u0026rdquo; at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer\u0026rsquo;s first choice for service.
- Take ownership of onsite project including safety, quality and performance. Observe and practice Convergint Quality Standards.
- Make suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality.
- Learn and perform tasks of an Electrical Installer III in order to progress through the trade program.
- Provide feedback to the Job-Lead regarding problems and anticipate time associated with an assigned task. Act as primary liaison to Project Lead.
- Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation \u0026 wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
- Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.
- Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
- Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.
- Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).
- Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- The Electrical Installer will be responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position.
- A valid driver\u0026rsquo;s license with a clean driving record.
- COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for a position with Convergint.
