  • SCOPE OF WORK: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting activities concerned with electrical construction projects. The desired result is that our projects are run efficiently with maximum profitability and high customer satisfaction.


Financial Project Management

  • Review plans and specs
  • Conduct Rollover Meetings
  • Establish detailed budget cost breakdown
  • Institute schedules, tasks/durations and integrates with other trades
  • Organize final purchasing BoM's, POs and subcontract details
  • Review product submittal details
  • Administer transmittals, phasing breakdowns, staging details and delivery instructions
  • Verify receipt of goods and perform cost coding of invoices
  • Submit RFCOs (Request for Change Orders) and maintain log
  • Follow through of billing to approval and payment

Budget Management

  • Balance budget after Purchasing is complete and monthly as a forecasting tool
  • Verify that Invoices are being applied to Purchase Orders and Subcontracts
  • Compare % of actual work in place to the % of dollars spent per cost cod
  • Extrapolate data to Forecast Over or Under Budget and by how much

Schedule Management

  • Compile, analyze and proactively manage job hours
  • Proactively mitigate/track delay issues
  • Implement Short Interval Scheduling with Superintendent
  • Oversee project completion and payment

Administrative Oversight

  • Responsible for identification and compliance with all contract requirements and documentation
  • Work with team to obtain all necessary permits, inspections and authorizations for construction
  • Verify tool and equipment availability
  • Conduct site review visits
  • Create and share post-job Recap Report with Estimators and Superintendents

Customer Service

  • Continually seeks opportunities to for new business opportunities, increase customer satisfaction and strengthen customer relationships
  • Maintains vendor and sub-contractor relationships

People Management

  • Lead, delegate and manage the project team
  • Enforce company policies/procedures
  • Conduct annual Performance Evaluations and Progressive Discipline


  • Requires 3-5 years of experience working as a Journeyman
  • Must pass background checks, including drug test
  • Proficient in various software applications (CADD, Scheduling, MS OfficeSuite and Estimation Software)
  • Exhibit strong business skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of electrical equipment, design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of electrical plans, blueprints, and drawings
  • Experience with contract documents including subcontracts, contract addendum, specifications, and change orders
  • Possesses an ambitious and driven attitude
  • Successful at thinking quickly, independently, using critical thinking and able to rely on personal judgment and experience to make decisions and accomplish tasks
  • Ability to drive projects to completion on time and within budget
