Engagement Manager

Salary Range: $7,300 - $15,250.00 Monthly

 

Under the direction of the Director of Access, the Engagement Manager acts as a senior member of the Patient Contact Center leadership team by supporting and managing the achievement of enterprise goals through integration of the patient experience journey/processes with technology by re/designing, and consulting on non-clinical business processes and Epic (Electronic Health Record – EHR). This incumbent will work closely with the executive leadership, management, and project team across the organization. Collaborates and executes critical activities such as strategic planning, complex analysis and thought leadership at a department and enterprise level.

 

Key responsibilities of this position include driving engagements to completion that may include reengineering processes, resource optimization, and communication of progress towards the completion of overall work portfolio. Responsible for monitoring the program’s effectiveness and mobilizing stakeholders in support of continuous program improvement. Leads interdepartmental communications and goals ensuring effective program operation and/ or implementation. Responsible for identifying strategic goals and opportunities; presenting these enhancements or proposals to Patient Contact Center and/or clinical leadership.

Requirements

Required Qualifications 

• Applicants are encouraged to upload license and certification if required of the position. 

• Bachelor’s degree or completion of bachelor’s degree in three years of hire date.

• Experience working in large, distributed, fast growing matrix organization with proven success developing and leading projects with executive and clinician leaders.

• Minimum 3-years experience leading projects/initiatives including process improvement, access/scheduling or contact center optimization projects with multi-disciplinary teams.

• Experience in managing projects on the ambulatory/ outpatient setting with EPIC system.

• Experience in Lean or six sigma concepts and methods.

• Experience in working with deadlines and resource constraints.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to express ideas assertively, respectfully, and concisely both orally and in writing.

• Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with others to secure necessary information and cooperation from a variety of people.

• Strong leadership and management skills to provide planning, coordination, and direction to stakeholders, including medical and technology professionals, and executive-level management.

• Analytical skills to effectively understand large amounts of complex technical, medical, administrative, and fiscal information, and ability to absorb such information to make timely and thoughtful decisions.

• Ability to analyze and synthesize large amount of data to drive process improvement and solutions.

• Ability to effectively engage senior leaders as sponsors of change

• Planning skills to analyze program goals and objectives given the current and potential health care trends, to make accurate short- and long-term projections to establish program needs and resource requirements.

• Ability to understand and implement the requirements of providing patient care within a highly regulated and constantly changing environment.

• Ability to understand health care issues within a broad perspective, and to apply these issues to the clinical setting.

• Knowledge of personal and/or mainframe computers and software tools, including word processing, spreadsheet, data base, clinical information systems, electronic medical records, billing systems, and other application packages.

• Ability to assess ambulatory practice needs for information technology products and design services to meet those needs.

• Experience and ability to drive organizational change management and methodologies and practices.

  

Preferred Qualifications 

• Project Management Professional Certification.

• Master’s degree in related field.

• Academic institution or large integrated health system experience.

• Knowledge and understanding of university policies and procedures.

  

Special Requirements 

• Physical Demands: Sitting - Frequently, Standing – Frequently.

• Lifting Requirements: Up to 25 Pounds (Light) – Frequently.

• This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
