Our Government Consulting Group is seeking a ERP Implementation Project Manager to join our Local Government Practice Area. The primary focus of the role is to serve as our clients’ Project Manager working with client and vendor teams as they implement enterprise software. You will primarily work in the mid-western states. 

You will have the right mix of demonstrated project management capabilities, exceptional organizational and self-management qualities, strong leadership capabilities, effective written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to travel. You will have experience in one or more of the following areas: local government business processes, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, implementation project management, or business process analysis, and will be comfortable working in many different environments within local government. Experience with organizational change management is a plus. You will report to senior management within our Local Practice Area. This position will sit remotely with a preference for being close to Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; and/or St. Louis, MO.

Travel Expectations: Although BerryDunn consultants are currently not travelling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, future travel to client sites can reach 35%-50%.

You Will:

  • Lead and support delivery of services to clients on time, within scope, and
    within budget, including assigning and managing staff and creating work products
  • Track project tasks, risks, action items, issues, and decisions
  • Coordinate task assignments based upon management to a vendor’s project
    plan
  • Conduct frequent, clear, and consistent communication to the client, team
    members, vendor, and other stakeholders
  • Generate project status reporting and issue/risk mitigation responses
  • Facilitate meetings and interviews with client stakeholders
  • Navigate and document decision making processes on behalf of our clients within the project’s established governance structure
  • Participate in staff/team meetings and training sessions
  • Work effectively as a team player on multiple client projects

Requirements

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Past experience working with local government, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, implementation project management, or business process
    analysis
  • Demonstrated experience leading project teams
  • Effective project management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of quality assurance/control procedures and demonstrated proactive problem management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills including documenting complex issues
    succinctly and logically
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills including articulating complex issues to a
    variety of audiences
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely
    manner
  • Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with staff and diverse
    constituencies
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Adept at using the MS Office suite including MS Project
  • Willingness and ability to travel 35-50% of the time
