Discover Network is seeking a payments professional to join the Partnership Business Development - Prepaid Team. The Executive Relations Manager of Prepaid Partnerships will be responsible for the growth in revenues and transaction volume for third party issued prepaid clients. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can actively develop business leads as well as build strong relationships with an existing portfolio of clients. The successful candidate is responsible for identifying new growth opportunities, creating effective business plans to increase transaction volume and revenue; and increase network loyalty to grow business referrals and improve client satisfaction. The individual must actively evaluate new clients, products, as well as monitor the external competitive environment.

The individual must have strong leadership skills and come up with innovative solutions for day-to-day for overcoming objectives while supporting existing client accounts in meeting sales objectives.

Responsible for the growth in revenues and transaction volume for third party issued prepaid clients. Develops business leads and relationships with existing portfolio of clients.


  • Actively generate prospects through strategic sales strategies focusing on customers in target markets.
  • Develops and implements successful sales strategies and tactics that leverage our payments technology platform.
  • Develops effective sales tactics for achieving monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
  • Creates detailed business plans to increase client transaction volume and revenue.
  • Actively promotes Discover and becomes external ambassador with ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.
  • Identifies, engages and cultivates relationships with industry leading Program Managers, Processors and Issuers within the industry.
  • Assists in development of strategic business plan for identifying and adding new programs with potential Program Managers, Issuers and consultants.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in sales within payments or specific Prepaid Product
  • In lieu of a degree, 15+ years of experience in sales and account management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership/relationship building skills, with the ability to influence without authority
  • High energy with the ability to drive results
  • Well-developed troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
