What you\u0026rsquo;ll do with \u0026ldquo;Our Training and Your Experience\u0026rdquo;

• Acts as \u0026ldquo;our customer\u0026rsquo;s best service provider\u0026rdquo; at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer\u0026rsquo;s first choice for service.
• Responds to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours service calls on a timely basis; will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; installs projects as necessary.
• Installing, programming, servicing and testing of new and upgraded fire alarm systems.
• Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint in a timely manner to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.
• Uses solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Execute all work in accordance with local and national codes, general best practices as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.

• Available for after-hours and weekend on-call rotation.

• Communicate with and work with the other team members consistently to improve overall operations.

• Keep up to date and informed on all company policies.

What You\u0026rsquo;ll Need

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
• Technical skills and experience related to electronic security and/or other systems interfaced with same.
• Programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple service needs simultaneously
  Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.
• Ability to travel locally with occasional overnight travel.
• Valid driver\u0026rsquo;s license.

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience: 0-3 years, trade school or equivalent experience. Experience installing, programming, testing, repairing, and/or servicing fire alarm \u0026 life safety systems. Valid drivers license required. Local travel to job sites and minimal overnight travel is required.

Preferred Experience: (but not required):\u0026nbsp;

Licensed in MA and OSHA 10 certified a plus.

CT and RI licenses a plus.

Edwards experience preferred, but we will train qualified individuals who have experience with other Fire Alarm manufacturers.

NICET II certification preferred.

Experience in the application of products, start-up and commissioning preferred.
