Job Scope:\u0026nbsp;The CTC General Manager (GM) has overall responsibility and accountability for business activity conducted through and on behalf of Convergint Technologies in their assigned location. Sales, operations teams assigned to support the customer growth report directly into the role. The role provides support, guidance, counsel, direction and management to each of the departments. The GM is ultimately responsible for managing the organization consistent with the company\u0026rsquo;s published Values and Beliefs.\u0026nbsp; Overall business strategies for the company are initiated by either the CEO/President and it is the GM\u0026rsquo;s responsibility to successfully implement and communicate these strategies throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To create, gain approval for and ultimately ensure the business achieves the annual business plan by way of sales, revenue and profitability goals.
  • To report, adjust and modify business plans and budgets throughout the year as necessary
  • To develop and gain agreement/sign off for all related business/department budgets.
  • To manage and monitor customer/client satisfaction levels and to provide interventions when deemed necessary.
  • To monitor and maintain colleague satisfaction levels.
  • Direct local recruiting, selection, and hiring activities of operations personnel in accordance with standard practices and working in conjunction with the HR Department and National Operations.
  • To oversee and approve all colleague (in cooperation with HR) issues including offer letters, changes in policy, terminations, disciplinary issues, etc.
  • To approve and control all company expenditures and ensure maintenances of all assets.
  • To approve and control the intake of all \u0026ldquo;installed business\u0026rdquo; sales orders and ensure delivery of all installed business at or above booked/estimated margins.
  • Ensure that all business operations \u0026ndash; sales, service delivery, project management, risk management, human resources are conducted in compliance with established best practices, processes, and policies.
  • Present a professional image of Convergint Technologies and act as an ambassador for the company both internally and externally. Expectations of and contributions from the General Manager are high in the minds of the customer, the company and colleagues.
  • Conduct performance management throughout the year including annual performance evaluations and salary planning.
  • Keep current on company products and policies; disseminate appropriate information in a timely manner to department personnel and enforce company policies when necessary.
  • To adhere to and promote all safety programs in place at Convergint Technologies in all locations.

Job Skills Requirements:\u0026nbsp;

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills are required, as is the need for effective Project Management skills, and the ability to manage and respond to behavioral and cultural change.
  • Advanced coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation.
  • Extremely adaptable \u0026ndash; responds effectively to changes in situation or information; ability to influence others and build consensus.
  • Excellent analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting and handling complex or multiple jobs.
  • Advanced financial analytical skills including cost control.
  • Expert ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members.
  • Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • A strong understanding of the local market and local industry is required.

Education Requirements:

  • Technical diploma and/or equivalent trade experience preferred.
  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Management desirable.

Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years Business/People Management
  • Business/Market knowledge pertaining to one or all of Electronic Security, Fire Alarm \u0026 Life Safety, Healthcare Technologies, Communications and Building Automation
  • Minimum eight (8) years\u0026rsquo; experience in Financial Management, Sales Management, Operations/Project Management

While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; uses hands to handle, or touch objects or controls.\u0026nbsp; The colleague must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.\u0026nbsp; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:\u0026nbsp;

The position is primarily office-based with regular visits to customer sites and potential visits to work sites in the field.\u0026nbsp; The colleague performs some work-related travel and occasional overnight travel to other CTC locations and customer sites may be required.
