Basic Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration of Information Services procurement processes to ensure compliance with District policies and practices, State statutes and Federal regulations. Assists with the timely execution of new contracts and procurements, including renewals. Develops, administers and/or assists project leaders with services and material contracts.
- Responsible for the administration of the Information Services purchasing process for materials, software and equipment, including formal and informal bid processes. Participates as a member of the evaluation team to evaluate material bids and proposals and develop award recommendations.
- Responsible for the administration of the Information Services contracting process for Professional and Miscellaneous Services Contracts; manages status of individual contracts and overall contracting program; performs needs assessment to define requirements for contracts; provides recommendations to meet contracting requirements.
- Works with project leaders and General Counsel to develop and maintain contract documents to ensure areas of liability and risk to the District are addressed.
- Participates in and may lead the development of Request for Proposals. Reviews the Request for Proposals to ensure purchasing and contracting requirements are represented.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline, and
- Four (4) years progressively more responsible contracts and purchasing experience or the equivalent combination of directly related experience and education
