Position Summary
+ The LORD Divisions headquartered in Cary, NC are seeking a dynamic team member to join its Information Technology Engineering and Quality Tools Support organization.

+ In this position, you will be part of a team that is responsible for maintaining Engineering tools, Quality Systems and Digital Operations Information Technology systems and processes.

+ You will employ knowledge of engineering and operations business processes and support CAD/CAM, PLM, PDM, Quality, Engineering, Digital Operations, or similar systems applications.

+ You will work directly with division functional teams to understand needs and develop a roadmap for delivering enhanced capabilities, new technology and systems.

Responsibilities

+ Act as project / portfolio manager for multiple projects of small to large impact on the business in accordance with ITSM, ITIL program lifecycle using appropriate SDLC methodologies to achieve rapid delivery of high-quality solutions meeting business process and application requirements on time, on budget and consistent with Parker LORD IT project, solution development, change and support management tools and processes.

+ Lead projects from ideation through execution, delivery, and closure, including providing & investigating options to address business requirements while demonstrating a sense of ownership and accountability for project success.

+ Identify necessary management structures for projects and secure the management involvement required; oversee and control any external resources contracted to the project. Negotiate with vendor and management when required.

+ Understand, document, and translate business and usability requirements into project charter/scope, functional/technical specifications, and design documents; continually identify, prioritize, and mitigate project risks.

+ Track project metrics, providing regular and succinct status reporting to stakeholders, using terminology appropriate for the audience, including timely communication, assessment, and recommendations for relevant scope changes and issues relating to project variances (schedule, budget) and risks.

+ Develop test plans to assure that developed solution satisfies client requirements including but not limited to developing test scripts, setting up test data, and assisting with activities relating to unit, performance, integration, conversion and cut-over testing, particularly packaged application configurations.

+ Demonstrate deep understanding of business processes, technologies, and best practices within your functional area(s) of support and along the business process chain.

+ Act as a liaison between Parker LORD Business Partners and IT to identify opportunities to introduce new and enhanced information technology solutions supporting user base; facilitate value analysis, requirements gathering, solution/vendor evaluation, project planning, estimation, and risk identification.

+ Determine potential impact of current and emerging technology, industry, and market trends; translate into actionable IT investments/projects and champion prioritization aligned to Corporate, Functional and IT strategies and priorities.

+ Work with corporate and division teams to determine systems that should be deployed at divisions or moved to corporate. Develop plans for each and execute.

+ Document impact of moving systems from division to corporate level. Understand current work processes and how new systems will change processes; identify ways to lessen impact on users.

+ Provide technical (Level 2/Level 3) support for designated applications; working with users and Parker LORD IT personnel and vendors/partners to troubleshoot both application and business process issues, and to monitor ticket tracking system.

Required Qualifications

+ BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field or relevant technical training

+ Minimum 3 to 5 years - Work experience as a subject matter expert within your area, including functional configuration and design.

+ Knowledge and understanding of your currently designated area and its integration to other areas assigned.

+ Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

+ IT Technical or System Analyst skills at an intermediate level.

+ Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills, targeting both technical and non-technical audiences

+ Augments conversation between others to ensure question / answer alignment.

+ Executes proper spelling and syntax; ensures written messages are clear and resonate with the target audience.

+ Reads and understands formal agreements; identifies and escalates language that may be disadvantageous to the company.

+ Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

+ Capacity to acquire deep knowledge of technology, functional operations and best practices being applied within the Industry for your assigned support areas.

+ Ability to analyze issues and challenges, and to provide solutions within assigned Area.

+ Demonstrated focus on the customer.

+ In-depth understanding of pertinent business functions outside IT.

+ Proactive in recommending emerging technologies and solutions to improve efficiencies.

+ Effective time management skills that facilitate on time/on budget projects as well as being responsive to the needs of the organization. Configures and leads effective and efficient meetings

+ Familiarity or experience with implementing/supporting processes and applications including PLM, PDM, PPM, Product Design Tools, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in IT plant management (OT, IoT, BMS, Andon).

+ Experience leading IT projects supporting plant automation.

+ ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification

+ PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification

+ Scrum Certification
