What you\u0026rsquo;ll do with \u0026ldquo;Our Training and Your Experience\u0026rdquo;

  • Install, configure and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned Security, Financial Banking, Healthcare Technologies and/or Building Automation projects including routine and non-routing projects.
  • Work directly with client IT departments to ensure all scope and interface is planned and implemented. Provide IT/networking consulting support for clients as necessary.
  • Monitor and review system log reports and network documentation.
    Assists Project Specialists with IT/networking technical issues on projects. Assists Service Specialists with IT/networking service calls.
  • Assist the sales team with developing proposals and designs for sales proposals. Provide more complex technical advice as required for system planning.
  • May assist with internal office network, IT and laptop support.
  • May be responsible for building, maintaining and providing security on routers and firewalls.
  • Act as our customers best service provider at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customers first choice for service.
  • Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance.
  • Review and identify new products \u0026 tools to improve productivity and efficiencies.
  • May work with other CTCs or customers to provide Strategic Account support. May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.
  • Identifies potential project risks, communicates to appropriate parties and assist in the development and implementation of strategies to minimize impact and to control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Works closely with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager and assists in the overall coordination of specific projects; makes recommendations regarding quality of work and potential changes in scope and identifies ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • May provide onsite assistance with startup, check out and turnover processes.
  • May provide diagnostic and troubleshooting support for possible problems including debugging software, installation problems etc. to existing customers, sales team and service department as necessary.
  • May perform Systems upgrades on large, Enterprise Class systems including acting as the team lead when additional manpower is necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You\u0026rsquo;ll Need

  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comprehensive understanding of physical access control systems (PACS) and network video systems
  • Ability to navigate a network environment using remote support tools
  • Ability to manage the day-today activities through a self-motivated attitude that ensures your assigned tasks and/or projects are completed effectively and in a timely manner. Must be a self-starter and work well without supervision
  • Ability to communicate both technical and project requirements to the different stakeholders
  • A valid driver\u0026rsquo;s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis. Minimal overnight travel is also required.

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred.

Minimum Experience: 5+ years of previous computer network / server installation and maintenance experience.

\u0026nbsp;

Preferred Experience (but not required): Access Control experience and Identity Management software experience.
