The primary function of the IT Project Manager is to guide application and infrastructure teams on the process of developing and delivering within our Agile framework. The candidate will collaborate with other technical managers, business managers, software developers, and infrastructure support teams to plan and execute projects. The candidate will support our Shared Services teams (Automation and Tools) by facilitating technical processes related to our cloud and on-premise technical infrastructure.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution for one or more work teams
  • Facilitate project workflow and scheduling
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Support and educate the product owner regarding product progress and backlog issues
  • Absorb and leverage project related technology to ensure effective project management and collaboration
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support to the team
  • May provide training to clients/staff
  • Apply Harvard University's IT technical standards and best practices
  • Abide by and follow the Harvard University IT Code of Conduct

Working Conditions

Interview and onboarding activity for this position may be conducted via telephone & Zoom video conferencing.

This position will be based in Cambridge, MA. HUIT actively supports hybrid work where business and team needs allow. Additional detail will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (CA, CT, MA, MD, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT).

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years' post-secondary education or relevant work experience
