Works to minimize operational, legal, and compliance risks. Identifies risks that have a direct impact on the business. Responsible for ensuring that corporate standards related to critical regulations, such as anti-money laundering (AML)/OFAC Sanctions/CARD Act policies, procedures and processes are effectively implemented and followed by the line of business teams within Discover Bank. Serves as a liaison between business unit and Corporate Risk Management (CRM), Compliance, Legal, and other business groups.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EResponsibilities\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProvides expertise to assist the business in successful implementation of the regulatory requirements\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EIdentifies emerging compliance and legal risk impacting the company and communicates them to management. Supports the implementation and enhancement of projects and initiatives.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAssists with the management of internal and external examinations.
