Manager, Program Management - Amazon Logistics

The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team is looking for an experienced Manager, Program Management with a strong record of achieving results, ownership, bias for action, and having the maturity to lead and influence large teams. This leader has responsibility for leading a team of program managers to drive standardization, new process implementation, process improvements for existing programs, and metrics reporting supporting Amazon Logistics delivery stations launches. The ideal candidate must have a proven history of program management leadership, responsibility for large programs, process improvements, and driving innovation across a high-performing program management organization.

To be successful in this role you will need to be an influencer and capable of working effectively with senior leaders across multiple organizations. You will need to be a proven team leader, program leader, diligent project manager, communicator, influencer, and problem solver. You will manage large, complex programs, deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Successful candidates will be comfortable leading teams with the required analytical, mathematical, and quantitative capabilities.

Responsibilities include:
· Responsible for overall Program Management supporting launches of Delivery Stations for North America region
· Manage a high performing team of Program Managers, driving standardization, automation, process improvements
· Improve and implement mechanisms across functional groups enabling program level progress and scale
· Lead weekly business reviews for program level progress, risks, and opportunities against overall business goals
· Implement long term processes to enable critical milestone completions, mitigation steps to bring programs back on schedule, and escalating risks to leadership for direction and support
· Facilitate cross-functional reviews to collaborate on solutions for recurring and critical program defects
· Serve as a point of escalation to help resolve timing and quality of inputs and outputs across teams, and to help facilitate leadership level decisions
· Prioritize critical programs, critical path tasks, and drives the cross functional teams to stay on schedule
· Understanding priorities and need for expediting where applicable and drive actions and follow ups to close out program level tasks
· Collaborates with senior leadership within Topology, Transaction, Pre-Construction, Design, Capital Planning, Launch Planning teams on various program improvements
· Drives compliance of mechanisms in place to continually drive timely quality outputs and facilitates constant feedback loop to improve the mechanisms
· Improve Service Level Agreements (SLA) across all functional groups within critical path for all programs

· Skilled in assisting with compliance to mechanisms and processes in place
· Ability to thrive in complex situations and high dependency process setups
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment where attention to detail and constant follow ups are required
· Ability to think both strategically and tactically and execute methodically
· Willingness to roll up their sleeves and do whatever is necessary; owner mentality

· Bachelor€™s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or other technical field from an accredited university
· Minimum of (6) years of experience managing a large team of high caliber program managers
· Minimum of (6) years of experience leading a team to drive standardization, project management, program management, project execution, automation
· Experience in implementing and launching of large fulfillment, delivery, sortation centers
· Experience collaborating with design engineering, construction, real estate managers, planning and execution project managers
· Experience working with project management tools


· Masters or MBA degree is preferred
