JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Academic Initiatives, the Academic Affairs Master Scheduler/Project Manager is responsible for translating academic initiatives into a Master Schedule for tracking, integration and closure of projects within Academic Affairs. In addition, the candidate will be assigned to implement special academic projects. Perform other duties as assigned

JOB DUTIES:

50% - Essential - Master Scheduling:

Builds, tracks, and reports on all unit-level projects within an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in a MS-Project and MS-Project Server environment. Gathers project statuses via correspondences, reports and meetings. Conducts regular project status meetings. Prepares, maintains, and communicate status reports. Develops and executes communication plan. Maintains reporting systems and documentation to ensure timely, accurate documentation. Identifies and implement risk mitigation

40% - Essential - Special Academic Projects:

Manages and directs the initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout phases of the project life-cycle for special academic projects. Coordinates and manages projects using project management methodologies from inception through completion

10% - Essential - Project Management:

Creates, improves, and evolves PM templates, processes, and systems. Develops and maintains project documentation, to include archives

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Work Exp 5+ years of relevant project management experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Experience - Enterprise Risk Management (ERM); Six Sigma methodologies; working in an academic setting; MS-Project and other PM tools; developing work breakdown (WBS) structures

Licenses & Certifications - Project Management Institute (PMI) Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as Lead - Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Experience - Enterprise Risk Management (ERM); Six Sigma methodologies; working in an academic setting; MS-Project and other PM tools; developing work breakdown (WBS) structures

Licenses & Certifications - Project Management Institute (PMI) Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications
