**Job Purpose** :


The EMEA Operations Regulatory Control Depositor Protection (DP) team performs a key role in a number of DP processes including Single Customer View (SCV) exception reporting, SCV engine mapping table updates and validating the completeness and accuracy of regulatory files generated.


The group acts as central point of contact within O&T for DP issues enabling transparency and escalation and is responsible for participating in the Business aligned Depositor Protection Oversight Group meeting.


**Job Background/context** :


This role is within the Depositor Protection (DP) Regulatory Control team as part of the Belfast Operations Control department. The individual will be primarily responsible for daily management of the team, co-ordinating processes relating to DP across five Legal Entities: CBNA London, CEP UK, CEP Plc, CUKL and CBNA Jersey. ORC provide monitoring and oversight of the SCV engine and related controls, including, SCV reporting, reference data maintenance, data quality exception reporting and other MI reporting.


The candidate will manage the Business as Usual (BAU) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes and will identify areas for automation, inputting into Business Requirements, performing UAT and updating procedures resulting from Change. The team is working on building upon the existing DP governance process within O&T working closely with O&T managers and Client Asset & Depositor Protection Oversight (CA&DPO) Office.


**Key Responsibilities** :


Day to day management and oversight of the DP Team, who are responsible for: Supporting all aspects of the daily SCV reporting batch process, monitor the production of regulatory reports and the related controls.


+ Co-ordinating the SCV data quality management process with Product Owners.

+ Producing quality MI reporting to communicate progress and plans to eliminate data quality exceptions.

+ Co-ordinating monthly and quarterly SCV validation cycles, to support the regulatory submission process.

+ Responding to regulatory queries or ad hoc requests for SCV reporting.

+ Handling requests/ queries from internal Customers.

+ Maintaining standard operating procedures, in line with Citi standards.

+ Adherence to all Control, Compliance and audit requirements.

+ Partnering with technology/ production support on system issues.

+ Performing UAT as part of a monthly sprint to enhance the SCV reporting engine.

+ Participating in ad-hoc projects or initiatives as required.

+ People management responsibilities including recruitment, coaching and performance management for the team.

+ Ensure day to day regulatory compliance for Depositor Protection through continuous review and enhancement of processes, consideration for both detective and preventative control measures

+ Manage the Change Programme / Book of Work (BOW) for Depositor Protection. The nature of the reporting means that rules / logic will continuously require enhancements / refinement in order to eradicate data and non-data quality issues.

+ Co-ordinating and sense checking the impact assessment of changes made by Technology to the SCV Engine

+ Monitor and prioritise JIRA requests raised for tech changes to the SCV Engine.

+ Facilitating and co-ordinating with relevant business stakeholders on the production and update of BRDs relating to changes required to the SCV engine

+ Produce MI that tracks effective change and share with relevant stakeholders and governance forums

+ Develop the Quality Assurance function for DP across all entities and business lines.

+ Identification of areas for improving existing regulatory reporting processes and controls, supporting the Change programme, Technology partners and other relevant stakeholders to deliver technology solutions for manual processes.

+ Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

**Knowledge/Experience** :


+ The ideal candidate would have experience in Securities & Banking Operations, or in a Control or Regulatory/ Compliance function with an understanding of systems and product flows.

+ Experience of working with data to perform analysis and summarise for management information would be advantageous.

+ Experience of interrogating systems to investigate and resolve control exceptions would be valuable.

+ Experience of the User Acceptance Testing or working with technology teams would be valuable.

+ Knowledge of Client Asset or Depositor Protection rules and regulations would be beneficial.

+ Team player who works well with colleagues of all levels in achieving value-added results.

+ Ability to build productive working relationships across a range of stakeholders.

+ Ability to consistently deliver work of a high standard whilst under pressure.

**Qualifications** :


+ Educated to degree level

+ Industry Exams would be advantageous
