Purpose of Position
- To manage and ensure the timely completion of two projects for the Information Security Office.

Essential Functions
- Project: Security Sustainability Study
• Work with the third-party vendor to ensure timely completion of deliverables
• Schedule and attend required project meetings to ensure projects stay on track, risks are identified and managed, issues are tracked to
resolution and appropriately escalated, and any changes are documented and analyzed for impact.
• Work with contacts at each of the fourteen institutions and System Administration to schedule data collection activities, working
sessions, reviews of vendor provided reports, etc.
• Ensure that financial models built by the third-party vendor can be used after the project. Coordinate with UT System Administration’s
Budget Office to ensure that the substance and structure of the models are useful to the Budget Office.
• Confirm the Customer success/acceptance criteria and ensures the project stays on track for delivering defined benefits.
• Administer info sharing sites used by UT institutions and the third party vendor to ensure that all project artifacts and deliverables are
accounted for and maintained for future use.
• Review and process project invoices, tracking impact to project budgets.
- Project: Network Security Workshops
• Work with the selected consultant to develop agenda and deliverables for a series of workshops.
• Develop project plan and budget, manage communication with institutions, arrange facilities for the workshops.
• Schedules and attends required project meetings to ensure projects stay on track, risks are identified and managed, issues are tracked to resolution and appropriately escalated,
and any changes are documented and analyzed for impact.
• Produces regular project status reports utilizing Project Online and PowerBI.
• Collects & uploads project documentation to project SharePoint sites.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, business management, information technology, information security or a related field. Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience. Some experience with managing information technology projects.

Preferred Qualifications
- 5-10 years' complex project management experience. PMI or Project Management professional certification. Experience in the Higher Education industry. Extensive experience managing information technology projects.

Working Conditions
- May work around standard office conditions.
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
- 10% Travel
- Requires occasional evening or weekend hours
