OCSD is currently looking to fill the role of a Planner/Scheduler.
 
Under general supervision or direction, performs a variety of scheduling duties involving the interpretation of complex engineering and contract documents used in the construction and maintenance of wastewater treatment and collection systems at the District; manages contractors' schedules to effectively evaluate cost and schedule performance; prepare technical reports for management; implement scheduling specifications and contract provisions; makes recommendation on issues involving delay; prepares time impact / delay claim analysis and make determinations regarding compensability, as well as how these delays might affect the completion of the project, other projects, and the effectiveness of the District's treatment and collection systems. 
 
Qualifications & Requirements

 

The successful candidate will possess: 
  1. Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education, with major coursework in engineering, or a related field; AND,
  2. Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience planning or scheduling with large construction based projects, or related experience.
 
License and/or Certificates:
  • Valid California Class C Driver's License.  

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Detailed knowledge of project management principles, the critical path method, and work breakdown structures. 
  • A strong understanding of project scheduling and budgeting 
  • The ability to establish professional relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of OCSD staff and contracts, both orally and in writing. 
  • Advanced knowledge of CPM and Primavera P6 Project Management, Microsoft Project, and Excel.

Salary Details

$100,547.20 - $122,200.00 Annually


 

Hiring Salary Range: $48.34 - $53.29/Hour or $100,547.20 - $110,843.20/Year

 

(starting salary will be within this range based upon qualifications)
