The Senior Manager of the Process Development Program Management Office (PMO) will provide leadership for a team of Program Managers leading Process Development teams for Combination Products.  This Senior Manager will work closely with Research & Development, Quality, Engineering, Operations, and many other cross-functional partners to support a cadence of successful new product development launches and sustaining projects.

A Day in the Life
•    Leads, develops, and motivates a highly talented, diverse, world-class performing group of Program Managers
•    Actively mentors, coaches, and ensures career development plans are in place for direct reports
•    Recruits and onboards key PMO talent
•    Collaborates with core teams to establish objectives and evaluate progress of direct reports
•    Develops, supports, and implements best practices in project management in our portfolio of development projects to help drive predictable outcomes
•    Drives organizational learning in project management, product development, and design controls. Where necessary, partner with internal and external experts to maintain and strengthen relevant technical expertise
•    Grows and nurtures cross-site and cross functional relationships in a large, multi-site, matrixed organization
•    Drives a culture of engagement, inclusion & innovation
•    Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes, and therapies
•    Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
•    Manages the development and implementation process of a company’s products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes
•    Reviews the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
•    Monitors the project from initiation through delivery
•    Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
•    Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients
•    Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders
•    Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems
•    Anticipates and mitigates risk points. Make tradeoffs between time, schedule, cost, and quality (when appropriate), while meeting safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
•    Exhibits strong technical expertise in product development processes (PDP) and provide mentorship to Program/Project Managers and other team members



Must Haves
•    Bachelors degree and 7+ years of program management experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of program management experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

Nice to Have
•    Direct managerial experience in project management and a career history of demonstrated progressive management experience.
•    Strong experience in project and program management, PMP preferred.
•    Dynamic team player and leader and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
•    Experience in Project Management or commercial new product development
•    Knowledge in product development, project management, and commercialization in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or combination device industries
•    Strong communication and teamwork skills; must possess excellent relationship building skills with direct reports, peers, and senior leaders
•    Experience managing Program/Project Managers with a history of increasing engagement
•    Experience establishing a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system for a business (connecting schedule, resource management, budget, etc.)
•    Experience working under regulations of the FDA, notified bodies, and other regulatory agencies for successful commercial launches
