Provides holistic consulting on all compensation matters for Discover's global employees. Combines both company and business strategies to help create and execute a coherent and dynamic compensation philosophy and strategy. Through analysis and research on competitive practices, ensures Discover's pay programs are aligned with Discover's strategy and industry practices and designed are to attract, retain, and motivate our employees. Partners with, and provide guidance to, senior HR and business professionals to address compensation-related issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes compensation data, consults on compensation strategy and makes compensation related recommendations to HR professionals and business partners to optimize business results
  • Manages the design of all compensation programs, including company-wide annual cash bonus and merit programs.
  • Manages the design, administration, and optimization of the company's sales and production-based incentive plans and recognition programs.
  • Partners with compensation team members to establish and monitor all compensation plans and procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies and external laws and regulations.
  • Manages relationships with various partners (e.g., Corporate Risk, Legal, Finance, Accounting, HR generalists) to ensure team objectives are met.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in compensation, administering broad-based compensation programs; sales compensation design and administration
  • In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in compensation, administering broad-based compensation programs; sales compensation design and administration

  • CCP, CSCP
