Program Manager 1

The Program Manager is be accountable for creating and overseeing programs for Major Accounts. They create meaningful and constructive relationships with the customer and internal resources. They use any Convergint resource necessary to evaluate the customer needs and work with those resources to determine the best way to support those needs. The Program Manager is instrumental in creating processes, procedures, SLAs, and any other tools useful in supporting and measuring Convergint\u0027s financial and perceived success on each account.

  1. Maintain working relationship with assigned customers
  2. Organize and run weekly/bi-weekly meetings (w/ customer and/or internal)
    1. Direct the flow of the meeting to keep everyone on track
    2. Take meeting minutes and follow up with others to ensure action items are completed
  3. Create and maintain customer playbook
  4. Be main point of contact for assigned accounts
  5. Be escalation path for assigned accounts and escalate customer concerns internally
    1. This may include escalating with other Convergint offices
  6. Assist sales with information needed for quotes
    1. This may include assisting sales in other Convergint offices
  7. Work with service department to ensure work order response times are being met and work orders are being completed in a timely manner
    1. This may include working with service departments in other Convergint offices or Convergint PSC
  8. Work with IT resource to ensure networked security devices are secured to Convergint and customer standards
  9. Work with IT resource to evaluate new technology
  10. Review financials and billing of customer
  11. Make recommendations on how we can be more efficient and better serve the customer
  12. Develop programs with customers, sharing customer vision and expectations for internal alignment
  13. Develop and deploy standard processes and tools that drive internal efficiencies and foster uniformity of work
  14. Manage, oversee, and coordinate all operational aspects of global/strategic customer engagements
  15. Serve as a customer advocate and liaison between Convergint corporate, local offices, subcontractors, vendors, partners, and manufacturers. Help develop unique approaches and introduce advanced solutions to customer challenges, building confidence in Convergint as a trusted advisor.
  16. Ensure adherence to specific customer standards, industry best practices, code requirements, and/or market regulations


Job Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills related to Program/Project Management\u0026nbsp;
  • Broad based industry and market knowledge of network and low voltage building systems\u0026nbsp;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project\u0026nbsp;
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with ability to deliver presentations to multiple levels of an organization\u0026nbsp;
  • Project and service financial competencies\u0026nbsp;
  • Experience with contract negotiation and administration\u0026nbsp;
  • Strong work ethic with personal motivation to function individually and part of a team\u0026nbsp;
  • Ability to create internal and external organizational alignment through relationships, communicating vision and team building\u0026nbsp;
  • Understanding of appropriate levels of protection regarding to customer personnel, information, and property, both real and intellectual\u0026nbsp;
  • An experienced leader that acts as a role model while guiding, developing and mentoring others within the organization\u0026nbsp;
  • Strategic thinker with analytical problem solving tools and techniques\u0026nbsp;
  • Capabilities in implementing program deliverables, leveraging understanding of cultural differences in business practices for other regions or countries


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor\u0026rsquo;s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience


Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of operations, field service or project management experience required\u0026nbsp;
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: electronic security, fire alarm \u0026 life safety, building automation and IT\u0026nbsp;
  • Previous leadership desired


Certifications \u0026 Licenses:

Project Management Institute (PMI) certification desirable; industry-specific certifications and/or licenses required; must have valid driver\u0026rsquo;s license.
