Qualifications - A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Program Manager;
- At least 5 years of experience as a project manager;
- Bachelors Degree in technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience, required;
- Masters Degree in technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience, preferred;
- PMI PMP certification required;
- PMI PgMP certification a plus;
- Experience leading a multiple-partner organization as the prime contractor;
- Experience with program management in the Public Sector;
- Extensive experience with vendor relationship building and subcontractor management;
- Hands-on experience overseeing functions including, but not limited to:
- Service Desk
- Field Services
- Supplier Management
- Retail/Point-of-Sale Technology
- ITSM/ITIL
- Technology Refresh
- Integration and Testing
- Experience with the following a plus:
- Retail/PoS domain expertise
- Led Network/Telecom functions
- Kiosk/Mobil PoS expertise
- Excellent communication skills; and
- Ability to obtain a USPS clearance.
Responsibilities - Responsible for the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of the Postal PoS Program, through subordinate managers, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines;
- Establishes and manages the PoS Program Management Office (PMO);
- Defines and documents the overall PoS Program Management methodology/approach;
- Drives aggressive efforts to achieve contractual objectives and organizational goals;
- Acts as the Peraton liaison with the USPS customer;
- Monitors contract and subcontract performance and funding;
- Prepares Staffing Plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations;
- Recruits, interviews, and hires senior PoS staff;
- Assigns staff, provides technical direction, and establishes priorities as necessary to complete PoS tasks;
- Supervises, trains and mentors assigned PoS professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines;
- Manages PoS issues and risks to resolution;
- Responsible for all aspects of the program budgeting and financial management/forecasting;
- Prepares for and presents all contract reviews; and
- Develops and delivers required contract and Peraton internal PoS Program status and/or financial reports.
