The Program Manager (PM) is the point person for JGM that is responsible for the performance of each government contract. They manage a variety of contract projects and subcontractors in accordance with company procedures, applicable laws, and government requirements. The PM provides advice to upper management and project teams on performance, compliance, and fulfillment.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing Government and Commercial projects to cost, schedule and performance.
  • Day-to-day oversight and management of all project resources (i.e., staff (matrix), subcontractors, equipment, etc.)
  • Identify and report project risks and develop mitigation plans to address risks
  • Development of project/program management plans
  • Managing multiple projects at a time with various project teams
  • Track, monitor, generate, and submit all contract deliverables (i.e, monthly status reports, final reports, plans, schedules, etc.)
  • Communicate team performance monthly to leadership team
  • Report progress of projects and status on deadlines
  • Assist in composition of proposals and deliverables


  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • PMI Certified (in lieu of BBA)
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in government contract management
  • Ability and willingness to regularly read, digest, and analyze complex government statutes and regulations and assess risk and opportunities
  • Occasional travel
  • Microsoft Office Applications Proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to build budgets, tracking reports, forms
  • Good Writing Skills – ability to edit, write and compile information into executable plans or documents to be submitted to Government CO’s
  • Ability to work self-directed on a portfolio of active projects
  • Detail Oriented – ability to execute daily task lists and adhere to a high standard of data gathers and reporting
  • Good Communication – ability to actively listen, ask questions and convert conversations into written recaps. Able to converse with clients and other key stakeholders.
  • Excellent Follow Up – good time management skills with a proactive or assertive follow-up cadence
  • Organized – ability to complete multiple action items on divergent projects
