Location: This position can be located in our Chicago, IL or DC office only 

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Leadership Resources, the Leadership Resources Coordinator provides administrative support, program coordination, and communications to the Leadership Resources Team. Guided by long-term and seasonal directives, the Leadership Resources Coordinator works closely with the Vice President of Leadership Resources to create an environment that maximizes team efficacy; coordinates projects and initiatives to ensure the success of organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate has outstanding organizational and team-management skills with strong proficiencies in communicating, managing human and organizational resources, and cross-team collaboration. This candidate also thrives on assisting team members and preserving a strong collaborative team culture. In addition, this candidate will also execute both routine and non-routine administrative tasks and assignments for the successful operation of the Leadership Resources team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Vice President of Leadership Resources and volunteer leadership teams to provide administrative support as needed and keep liaisons informed and empowered in their role as volunteer leaders.
  • Collaborate with NAR’s National President on projects including but not limited to, ordering and distributing gifts from the president to various association leadership teams and procuring budget-friendly items for consideration.
  • Suggest new vendors to enhance services and save money and negotiate prices and contracts to ensure high service standards are maintained
  • Establish budget needed for projects and manage the budget accordingly.
  • Manage Vice President and volunteer leadership team’s calendars and assist with meeting preparation and logistics as needed.
  • Assist Vice President and volunteer leaders with programing, travel arrangements, and schedules for NAR’s annual conferences and training sessions to introduce NAR’s products and services.
  • Determine the best way to communicate updates and Association announcements to inform and empower Committee Liaisons in their role as volunteer leaders.
  • Assist with providing tools and resources to inspire direct dialogue between the regional volunteer leaders and their regional communities.
  • Manage member communications intranet, The Hub, to provide tools, resources, and communication to volunteer leaders and manage the strategic calendar of national, state, and local event presences for leadership.
  • Manage volunteer leadership-related content on NAR.realtor for volunteer executive leaders and consult with NAR.Realtor Content Strategist on format and outline of information.
  • Assist with the implementation of a Spokesperson/ Media Training to prepare certain volunteer leaders in their role as spokespersons.
  • Manage administrative tasks including, but not limited to, processing invoices for payment, preparing expense reports for Vice President and volunteer leadership teams, reviewing executive volunteer leadership committees’ monthly statements and coding expenses on the team’s purchasing card.
  • Other duties, as assigned



  • 2-3 years’ administrative experience & project management
  • Highly organized; ability to multi-task and excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Results-oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problem
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
