The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of projects for Sweet Group and its affiliated companies, including assisting in market opportunity identification, proposal research and development, partnership building, project management, and assisting leadership with various administrative and operational tasks.  This role is multi-faceted and will require the ability to be nimble and diverse in action. Primary responsibilities include assisting the Proposal Team with the proposal and solicitation response lifecycle from identification through submittal, as well as supporting the Company’s strategic growth goals, initiatives, and service offerings in the New York and Northeastern market.   Duties will also include maintaining existing and developing new M/WBE and Disadvantaged Business partnerships. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of public projects managed by Sweet Group and its affiliated companies, including liaising with government entities.
  • Establish and maintain M/WBE and Disadvantaged Business partnerships, including researching and developing new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Support public project management as requested.
  • Research, identification, and review of opportunities for Sweet Group.
  • Interface with project managers to gather and document project metrics such as project overviews, values, period of performance, and project specific metrics.
  • Assist with Division specific resume creation and updates.
  • Assist with completing proposal specific forms.
  • Assist with editing and desktop publishing of proposals.
  • Schedule and attend proposal related meetings.
  • Assist with proposal production and delivery.
  • Support leadership with various daily task execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Self-motivated individual.
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with and managing Microsoft SharePoint sites
  • Experience with editing Adobe PDF documents
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Experience in desktop publishing and/or copyediting.
  • 3+ years proposal analyst experience.
  • Experience working with local or State government.

Physical Demands:

  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
  • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 40 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
  • Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements).
