 The Saskatchewan Research Council’s (SRC) Environment Division is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide support to Project Managers in the Environmental Remediation Business Unit.


  • Assist Project Managers in drafting and issuing project proposals, request for proposals, tenders, budgets, technical reports and schedules
  • Organize meetings, including note taking, developing action items and distributing to the project team
  • Manage all facets of a remote northern camp contract, including everyday decision making and ensuring deliverables are met
  • Administer the management system and SharePoint for the business unit
  • Use tools to control and track project schedules, budgets and expenditures
  • Write reports, applications for licenses/approvals/permits and management system documents (e.g., procedures, plans, work instructions, safe work procedures)
  • Manage the change order process and track all license/approval/permit commitments for regulatory compliance
  • Track financials and coordinate payment for invoices
  • Communicate with contractors, regulators and the project team
  • Conduct site inspections and audits
  • Assist with project logistics
  • Manage documentation and records


  • Environmental science/remediation background is preferred
  • 3-5 years of work experience managing projects in the engineering or construction management fields
  • Project Management certification or Canadian Construction Association Gold Seal certification are assets
  • Experience in project management practices and tools 


  • Strong planning and coordinating skills with the ability todeliver quality work in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication and critical thinking skills are essential for this position
  • Well organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Advanced experience using Excel and Word
  • Experience with SharePoint, MS Project and PowerPoint are assets



  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Some travel to remote, radiation-impacted abandoned mine sites in northern Saskatchewan
  • Travel by small aircraft, boat and all-terrain vehicles
  • Work extended hours (up to 12 hours per day) while in the field

The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
