1.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Provides design or drawing assistance for Fire Alarm projects during the development and as-built stages of the engineered drawings to drafting team members. Leads design effort on medium to complex life safety systems. Obtains electronic plans from engineers/architects/owners.\u0026nbsp; Obtains design drawings from sprinkler and mechanical contractors.\u0026nbsp; Oversees creation of engineered shop drawings \u0026 product data submittal documents (AutoCAD, etc) .\u0026nbsp; Prepares record drawings and O\u0026M manuals according to project requirements.

2.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Works from rough sketches, schematics, and verbal instructions.\u0026nbsp; Utilizes and maintains Convergint project design, documentation, and submittal standards.\u0026nbsp; Ensures adherence to industry standards and codes as required.\u0026nbsp; Supports and maintain Convergint design standards. \u0026nbsp;This position will require the ability to apply intermediate and advanced drafting techniques and knowledge of practical, electrical and fabrication problem solving skills.

3.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Reviews scope, defined product specification, application, and electrical requirements for code compliance, adherence to project specifications, and AHJ Requirements.\u0026nbsp; Work assignments vary and will be moderate to complex in scope.

4.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Participates in internal design review meetings as coordinated by the Project Managers.\u0026nbsp; Participate in project turnover meetings with both sales and project team.\u0026nbsp; Provides project team with all documentation, programming graphics, etc. according to Convergint standards and project requirements.

5.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Conduct BOM review and consolidate data to Project Management for parts ordering.

6.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Obtains project design information as required from vendors, insurance carriers, owners, consultants and AHJ as required.\u0026nbsp; Provides all necessary documentation for permit application to assigned project manager.

7.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Communicates all design progress, committed completion dates, design scope revisions, and associated costs to the Project Managers.\u0026nbsp; Discusses all anticipated overtime requirements with the Project Managers.

8.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Performs change-order work only with formal authorization to proceed.\u0026nbsp; Assists the project team with change-order pricing.

9.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Participates in initial site surveys and/or walkthroughs.

10.\u0026nbsp; Prepares submittal packages according to project requirements or Convergint standards.\u0026nbsp; Revises submittals as required to gain approval.

11.\u0026nbsp; Provides operational support for the sales phase of projects when needed.

12.\u0026nbsp; Work may include providing training and work direction for other designers \u0026 supports development of drafting colleagues.

13.\u0026nbsp; Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
