The Project Engineer is responsible for the development and execution of projects and establishing the criteria by which project success will be measured. Responsible for engaging with manufacturing value streams, identifying and developing site capital and tactical and continuous improvement projects. The Project Engineer will identify the project's value proposition, coordinates the review of project designs and ensure the implementation of project elements leveraging Pharmavite's project approach. The Project Engineer reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Establishing and maintaining partnerships with cross-functional leaders to create an open dialog, keeping your project status updates current and a deep understanding of the department needs.
  • Leading a cross-functional team through the project management process so that user requirements are clearly established, scope management is maintained and timelines a reasonable and can be met.
  • Gate keeping of potential projects by evaluating feasibility and developing a sound justification to feed into the overall engineering team will allow for projects to move from ideation to an executable project.
  • Investigation of new and exciting technologies which will deliver benefits to the supply chain will give you opportunities to change current models and take us into the future. Be a change agent for progress.


The ideal candidate is experienced in manufacturing engineering, project management, equipment design and CAD. Experience in a manufacturing environment with different types of equipment and an understanding of the mechanical, controls and process relationship are a plus. You are motivated, a self-starter, inquisitive and assume responsibility for projects. You should be able to work on your own or within a group, management and leaderships skills are needed.

You'll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • Passion about the details, going beyond the initial ask and diving into root cause of an issue with tenacity.
  • The desire to lead from the front on issues, collecting data, sharing information and guiding a team to a desired solution.
  • Interest in a variation of projects type (small equipment components to larger facility related projects), supporting lean initiatives and being part of a project team.
  • A continuous improvement mind set, not just for the departments we work with but investing in your own skill set.

In order to take on these challenges, you'll need to have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, Lean Six Sigma and PMP are a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to deliver capital projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of process engineering.
