Position: Project Manager (1099 Contractor)

Location: Crystal City/Arlington, VA (with telecommute flexibility)

Reports to: Associate Director, Grants & Business Development

 

Are you an experienced project manager in a public health, healthcare, or non-profit setting? Come join one of the most cutting-edge organizations in infection prevention and prevention advocacy as a Project Manager. The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) is seeking a Project Manager to manage APIC’s federal, state, and corporate grant- and contract-funded projects. This is a 20-hour per week 1099 Contractor position, locatedin Crystal City/Arlington,VA. APIC offers a generous post COVID telecommute policy with the opportunity to work from home. Applications accepted from candidates who reside in DC, VA, and MD only.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for executing effectively and efficiently on all aspects of contract- and grant-funded projects with exceptional attention to detail, assuring project deliverables are completed on time and within budget. This position requires collaborative work with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all parties are kept informed of changes or updates to project deliverables or timelines. This position has significant interaction with members, vendors, and APIC staff.

Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) plus a minimum of five years of project management experience, preferably in a public health, healthcare, or non-profit setting. Experience overseeing federal grant or contract projects (preferably related to public health or healthcare) and advanced database management skills are required. APIC is seeking applicants with the ability to write content and edit for the Web, advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and Knowledge of budgeting, financial reports, and an understanding of business development principles.
