Position Summary
Work with account executives, client leads, the functional/matrix managers and staff to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, consistent with defined client expectations.

  • Create and maintain detailed work plan; communicate and review work assignments with team; manage day-to-day project activities.
  • Manage project scope, including project deliverables, timelines, client responsibilities and expectations, to pre-defined project financials.
  • Prepare project management work plan and other deliverables to be shared with the customer
  • Lead and facilitate external-facing status calls and meeting with customer
  • Lead and facilitate on-site kickoff meetings with large health plan and/or employer customers
  • Participate and facilitate scope discussions with customer
  • Establish project billing numbers; be responsible and/or assist client manager with project related billing.
  • Identify opportunities for value-added revenue during installation projects and with currently installed clients.
  • Work with Data Management staff on new client implementations (responsible for scheduling/leading data intake meetings, scheduling/leading external client meetings, creating project plans, tracking issues, documenting issues and key follow-ups, meeting summaries, facilitating client sign-off for new implementations, identifying key implementation risks, and setting accurate expectations around timing with external and internal resources)

  • Track and communicate project status to account teams and client.
  • Track and manage to budget
  • Drive resolution of project issues.

  • Directs/manages multiple projects and staff resources with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrates basic understanding of business unit's role in Truven's business.

  • 2-5 years of Project Management experience.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of management of project scope and billing.
  • Experience using project tracking tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing, verbal, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage scope creep.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

  • PMP Certification
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
