What You’ll Do: 

As the Project Manager, you will manage the project execution from start to finish to ensure it meets the project scope, budget, expectation and schedule.

Your Accountabilities in the Role: 

  • Develops, organizes, and executes the project details and flow to ensure it is in line with the scope of the project sold, the budget, and the schedule.
  • Reviews project design to ensure it is within compliance, expectation and scope prior to execution to ensure a successful implementation.
  • Works closely with Sales, Sales support, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Service Technicians, External Contractors and Customers to ensure the materials for the project are ordered and delivered on time.
  • Validates that Installation goals are being met.
  • Equipment review onsite making sure the project goals and operational efficiencies outlined by the customer are per specification.
  • Travels to project sites, as required, to ensure tasks are moving as planned weekly or as required.
  • Reviews and submits documentation for complete project data history & invoicing.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with proven multiple and large project management expertise.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive Project Management experience in managing large projects in a structured way.  Will also consider a high-potential with 3 years of solid Project Management experience who can learn and grow quickly. Experience with equipment in food or poultry processing industry preferred.
  • Certification(s): PMP preferred
  • Functional Skills:  Excellent planning, organizing, and execution skills; ability to multi-task with a strong attention to details; solid math and problem-solving skills; excellent follow through is also required
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Strong technical aptitude to provide direction during project installations; Excellent Microsoft Office Skillset; ability to learn and use ERP and other data systems is required.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; will interact with key customers, contractors, and all levels of the organization to meet project expectations; excellent training ability for end users.  
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Natural leadership skills with a calm demeanor; innovative with excellent collaboration skills to create enhancements, can influence others to meet mutual goals; safety and quality minded;
  • Culture Match Behaviors:  Need conceptual thinkers who can take a vision and create better processes/solutions. Energetic, honest, and high ethical standards to lead by example

Other Important Information:     

Salary:  Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. 

This position is eligible for a bonus program!   And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

 

Reports To:  Manager of Projects

Core Hours:   7:00 am – 6:00 pm; will work 45-50 hours typically within this time frame

Typical Work Week:  M-F; with some additional hours as needed

Direct Reports:    none

Work Conditions:  Typically, in an office environment and within processing facilities

Travel:   Approximately 40%
