Project Manager - Bilingual Spanish

As our organization grows, we seek a Bilingual Spanish Project Manager to guide ongoing business development and new business acquisition projects. You will lead the planning and implementation of various medium to large sized business projects with national and international scope. This role will suit a confident, communicative Project Manager with a strong business development background, adept at working with a wide variety of project stakeholders in a high volume, entrepreneurial environment. Strong business acumen and the ability to remain nimble while managing multiple projects will be core to success in this role.

Office: Markham, ON

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of various new business projects
  • Write and review project charters, RACI charts, timelines, meeting notes, and other project artifacts
  • Accurate, timely and transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Take part in executive level project planning discussions
  • Partner with Sales, Product, IT, Operations and other departments as required
  • Ability to develop a team of project coordinators and managers in their roles, providing feedback, encouragement and advice
  • Influence and educate stakeholders on the benefits of PM practices
  • Ability to prioritize individual and team work with competing priorities
  • Drive escalated project issues through to resolution. Incorporate feedback and adjust plans or approach as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Competencies:

  • PMP Certification is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written fluency in both English/Spanish required.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in an entrepreneurial environment with complex projects
  • Experience influencing where there is no direct managerial responsibility
  • Market research, data analysis and/or business analysis experience will be beneficial
  • Project Management experience in the mortgage and/or banking industry will be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication, organization, time-management and leadership skills
  • Strong ability to problem solve
  • Ability to shift gears and reprioritize with constantly changing demands
  • Able to accept feedback and act on it
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, MSProject, Visio, and JIRA
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to manage sensitive information and situations with discretion and tact
  • Ability to write and communicate in Spanish and/or French considered an asset
  • Flexible and experienced working in a high workload environment
  • Influencing and negotiating abilities
  • People management and development
