Project Manager, Client Success

The Project Manager, Client Success (PM) oversees the management, resourcing, milestone delivery and execution of client engagements while executing initiatives across a myriad of verticals. The individual in this role has a background in client delivery with experience successfully guiding and implementing large system implementations in higher education based on predefined best practices and in a way that results in improved client outcomes, streamlined operations and increased customer satisfaction. The PM serves as the key liaison with the project and client teams – taking a strategic and solutions-oriented approach to drive results for the business and for our customers. The individual takes ownership and works independently, requires minimal supervision, and collaborates closely with client executives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As the identified client success leader for a respective initiative or implementation, the Client Success Project Manager scopes, identifies and defines solution offerings for clients that can be implemented and deployed for client partners.
  • Responsible for working in collaboration with the client to establish a clear scope of work, to collect requirements, and to ensure that there are clear goals, objectives, resources and delivery milestones.
  • Manages projects, initiatives, and other client engagements to ensure the timely, efficient and optimal delivery of services and technology solutions.
  • Develops, maintains, and manages project charters, detailed project plans, budgets, action item registers, status reports, and major milestone timelines for all assigned projects.
  • Develops realistic product and program plans, working across multiple stakeholder groups, to ensure alignment and achievement of goals.
  • Effectively manages issues and risks, works with project teams to resolve issues, and presents solutions and/or options to executive management.
  • Establishes, implements and manages processes and procedures including change control as well as risk and issues management.
    • Works in collaboration with external partners and vendors to ensure technology is leveraged and applied successfully to client initiatives.
    • Establishes regular reports and metrics to monitor progress to goals and identify gaps.
    • Ensures a quality end-to-end customer experience – elevating issues as needed to appropriate senior leaders and ensuring forward progress.
    • Remains agile and focused on optimizing business processes and operations to continually improve on performance delivery.
    • Assumes accountability for success of the initiative or project in accordance with agreed scope of work.
    • Performs related work as assigned or required.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology or related field

Skills:

  • 10+ years of project management experience working in a technology professional services product or consulting environment. Experience working in client facing roles is a must.
  • PMP or similar certification.
  • Possesses Six Sigma and lean skills
  • Understanding and experience in Scaled Agile methodology.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter who thrives on solving problems and delivering innovative solutions to clients.
  • Exercises sound judgment with respect to the relative importance, priorities, time allocation and resource requirements.
  • A commitment to becoming proficient in partner and technology applications that support key customer deployments.
  • Presents recommendations in a thoughtful and convincing manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as a collaborator and communicator with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to establish milestones and deliverables to consistently and effectively manage client expectations and ensure program and product success.
  • Ability to successfully navigate at a leadership level across multiple executive stakeholder groups

Salary Details

We offer a very competitive benefits package, including: generous PTO policy (20 days of vacation time, 15 days sick leave, 2 floating holidays, 8 holidays, last week of December – paid holiday break); employer’s 401K contribution is 7.25% of base salary; tuition benefits (100% tuition waiver for first undergraduate and first graduate degree at an associated with us state University, 100% for a f/t employee, up to 8 credits per semester. First undergraduate degree for a spouse and dependents); medical, dental, vision plans.
