Project Manager for Change Management Strategy: (GRANT FUNDED POSITION)

The Project Manager for Change Management Strategy will oversee the operational aspects and scope of the “An Anti-Racist Future: Transformational Change in Medical Education”, a three-year grant funded project to replicate the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s change management strategy to address racism and bias at 8-10 medical schools in different regions of the country. The Project Manager will facilitate communications and track all information, activities, tasks, outcomes, status and resources related to the project. The Project Manager will work with the Principal Investigators and project consultants to oversee the develop and implementation of an interactive virtual learning platform where participating medical schools will establish and maintain their capacity for transformational change and build a community of practice within and across schools. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategy and Equity Education Programs in the Medical Education Department, the Project Manager will work with all constituent groups, including students, staff, and faculty.

 

This is a grant funded position

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Principal Investigators, constituent groups and project consultants to develop the initial project schedules and workflows
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of a virtual learning platform, including training modules, assessments, outcome and performance monitoring and coaching sessions
  • Help create effective internal tracking tools to ensure consistent adherence to grant
  • Monitor costs and resources required to ensure intended outcomes
  • Collaborate on the creation of policies and procedures to achieve grant compliance and optimize project outcomes
  • Perform other duties as needed

 

 

Requirements

Minimum Education:

 Bachelor’s Degree required; Master's degree preferred


Minimum Related Experience

  • 1-3 years’ experience in medical education, academic affairs, curriculum, or related field;

Qualifications/Skills

 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred; Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Initiative to seek alternative approaches and solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, multi-task, and understand the big picture
  • Commitment to customer service
