The primary job of Project Manager, HDS Facilities is to serve as the Owner’s Representative for projects executed for the Housing and Dining Services organization, ranging in size from $50,000 to in excess of $100 Million. The position will facilitate engagement with all business units in Housing and Dining Services to ensure Customer requirements are completely and accurately collected and included in renovation and construction projects. The position will monitor execution of projects by Design and Construction Agents in CSU Facilities Management as well as contracted Architect Engineer Firms and Construction Contractors, with a focus on managing project program Budget, Scope, Schedule and Quality. This position will be responsible to coordinate turnover and activation, to include Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E), and closeout (including Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Training, Record Documents).

Requirements

Required Job Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree and two years of progressive experience in building trades, construction, and/or remodel and design 
• State of Colorado driver’s license required within 30 days of employment.
• Demonstrated experience and success in development of productive relationships with clients and constituents, both internal and external to the work organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Reflecting on CSU’s Principles of Community, candidates are expected to have the ability to demonstrate the Department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

 

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Project Management Professional Certification.
• Experience as Superintendent, Project Manager or Owner’s Representative.
• Experience in several of the functional areas of building trades, construction and remodel and design.
• Experience and ability to work "cross-functionally” within the organization. 
• Knowledge of state adopted building codes.
• Demonstrated experience in commitment to sustainability goals in the built environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with industry specific applications, such as integrated work management systems, basic office management applications.
