Our Greenville, South Carolina office has the opportunity for a Project Manager to join the firm’s Project Management department.  The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for advancing the Project Management Office (PMO) by working with cross-functional teams in the implementation and efficient execution of all project-type initiatives at the Firm.  The PM will provide portfolio level support of all internal operational projects across the Firm, working with and supporting project sponsors and owners.


  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or in a related area with 2-4 years of direct project management experience in a law firm or professional services organization or in a related area.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan, prioritize, and accomplish goals and a variety of tasks.
  • Proven ability to readily comprehend business objectives and develop and execute appropriate business strategies.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Document Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Internet and web-based platforms.
  • Demonstrable exercising of good judgment and ability to make well-reasoned data based independent decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; strong reporting skills.
  • Self-motivated and independent, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones in a matrix organization. Strong interpersonal skills, including collaborative approach and ability to influence others.
  • Organized, detailed oriented individual with strong proficiency in project management skills.
  • Strong client service orientation.

Essential Functions

  • Create and manage project schedules, budgets and deadlines without compromising quality expectations.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships, with a collaborative approach to engagements.
  • Client facing skills to set expectations, communicate effectively, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Proactively identify risks and escalations, and communicating timely.
  • Ensuring the deliverables meet or exceed expectations by clarifying and aligning goals, managing accountability, and providing transparency through the processes.
  • Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and status to team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare agendas and conduct internal meetings to assess and direct teams effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform tasks in parallel when necessary.
  • Effectively applies PMO methodology and enforces project standards, while identifying and executing process improvement opportunities.
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Promotes greater transparency, predictability, and accountability for all projects across the firm.
  • Provides meaningful reports with analyses, and observations to program participants in order to inform and adapt as needed.
  • Supports PMO Management and Director of Infrastructure and Real Estate with reporting functions and other directives, as needed.
